Living in the Real World....AKA College!

I've been absent from my blog for a while, so I thought I would make this quick post, as I have some, *gasp* free time!

I moved in to my apartment at BYU-Idaho on Friday, September 11th, 2015. I met my roommates and it has been non-stop crazy since then! I have experienced so many amazing things since being here! I am eternally grateful for the choice that I made to come here.

I thought I would share some pictures to illustrate some of the fun that I have been having! :)
Of course, Mom made me take a picture in front of the sign!

We barely fit all of my stuff into the rental car :) Trunk was full too!

My room! Clean for now haha :)
The day after I moved in, Saturday, September 12th, BYU played Boise State. Now, my family is a Bronco family, so I wore my Boise State shirt and headband. Needless to say, I was the minority in Rexburg that day. Even my roommate became my rival! BYU won, but I'm not holding a grudge.

My roommate Carly and I :) Gosh, I love her!

My birthday was this weekend! On September 25th, I turned 19!!! It was my first birthday away from home, EVER! I was pretty nervous, but it was amazing!

The night before, my roommate Carly took me for frozen yogurt (my fave!). SO many amazing people told me "Happy Birthday" on Facebook, through text messages, phone calls, and even in person! I am so blessed!

My sister and Sierra showed up and surprised me with a birthday cake, complete with a crayon candle! (They didn't have any real candles, but hey, it was adorable!) Then, they took Carly and I out to dinner in Idaho Falls for my birthday! Red Robin.......YUMMMM!

Upon arriving back in Rexburg, KyLeigh and Sierra and I went to the Alex Boye concert on campus! I was super excited, because it was only the second concert I've ever been to! The concert was INCREDIBLE! I thought it was so cool how we started off with a prayer. It really helped the atmosphere. Anyway, funny story. Ky knew one of the cameramen, and she told him it was my birthday. He told Alex Boye and his band that it was my birthday AND where I was sitting.

But, when Alex came out into the crowd to sing, he got his left and right mixed up, and sang to some random girl on the opposite side of the auditorium. She looked really confused, but didn't correct him. When he got to the part of the happy birthday song where you say the person's name, KyLeigh and Sierra yelled my name really loud. That got a lot of people's attention!

But, when he came back around the crowd, he touched my hand!!!!! I was freaking out at this point. It was a giant party, and I am so glad I was able to go with KyLeigh and Sierra. They made it so fun! After the concert was over, there was a meet and greet with Alex, where you could take pictures, get autographs, and buy merchandise. I got a t-shirt, and we waited in like for almost an hour to meet Alex.

When I got up to meet him, he asked how we were doing and all I could say was, "It's my birthday!" He told me happy birthday and hugged me! MADE MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! He is the first famous person I have ever met! It was incredible!

All in all, my first two weeks at school have been amazing! I can't wait for the next twelve! I hope to keep you all updated on my adventures, but remember, I'm a busy college student. So don't expect daily posts or anything :)

Party at Red Robin! And me blowing out my crayon candle :)

I MET ALEX BOYE!!!!!!!! :)
